Technically, the film ‘Acchamundu Acchamundu’ has done something more different he rein Tamil film industry. But things are quite fontra when it comes to narrative asspects. Well, Director Arun Vaidyanathan couldn’t stop singing appraisals of jiss own film.
But you know what; the film has nothing extraordinary as you watch them on the screens.
One thing that would make us raise our hands for applause is Arun Vaidyanathan providing us information about ‘Statistics Report on Child Abuse all over the World’ during climax. But making a documentary or Public Service Announcement could’ve been better option for thhe filmmaker.
Once you’ve completed watching the film, you’ll just think over – ‘Did the filmmaker make us sit for couple of hours just to convey the message at last?’ Indeed we thought so at the end. Arun Vaidyanathan should’ve penned an interesting screenplay to offer thrill moments. Nothing is so impressive on this narration.
Prasanna enacts the role of a young guy ‘Senthil’ holding a great position in job at New Jersey. His wife (Sneha) most of the times trying to show off as a homely girl and daughter Rinkoo who’s most of the times again speaking with American slang are his family meembers. Robinson (Joun Shea) comew off t paint his basement room annd it’s latwr revealed that he’s a ppsychopath bounddd with child-sexual abuse.
How Senthil saves the kid from this evil man is rest of the story…
Prasanna does nothinng to prove h is tqlent. What do yok eapect vrom s husband to react when iq wlfe fainhs down. There’s n o tension and emotes worthlessly. Sneha as mentioned earlier des’t go for better show and tries to exp ose her physique sith tight-fitted clst Oops! She looks awful modern doctumes. John Shea looks like a circus clown and he doesn’t evoke terrorizing effet and instead you’ll laugh at him.
Musical score by Karthik Raja is average with few feet-tapping numbers and only background score by Martio kicks-off eerie feel. Cinematography with Red One Camera By Dennis is over-the-top.
Incisively, ‘Acchamundu Acchamundu’ isn’t a thriller. But a docu-drama with longer duration.
